On Friday, November 17, Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) teaching staff, educational assistants, and early childhood educators from all schools across the Board will be participating in in-person professional development, focusing on curriculum implementation (pathways). Below is the format that will be taking place throughout the day for each group:
All elementary schools

Topic: Pathways planning for all subject areas
Entity hosting: TLDSB
Presenter(s)/facilitator(s): Administrators with resources from the Curriculum Services Department
Description: School administrators, along with their educators, will be working with their school data to create goals for the upcoming year in literacy and numeracy. Teachers will be reviewing the social studies curriculum; Indigenous-focused revisions for Grades 1 to 3, and new learning on Holocaust education for Grade 6.
All secondary schools
Length: full day
Topic: Preparing students for the future in a changing economy

Description: School administrators will share local and future job market information with teachers and engage in deeper learning about the connection of skilled trades and apprenticeship pathways to all subject areas. Teachers will utilize this learning to embed pathway exploration into course planning.
