A Word from Your Trustee
Finally a few days in a row are scheduled which, if the weather person is correct, will make it feel like summer is on the way. Our spring has been very wet, hopefully summer will bring warmer and dryer days.
I recently had an opportunity to attend the orientation class visit for next year’s JK students and their parents. The newcomers all appeared to be very excited about coming to Ridgewood in Sept.
I’m very excited about seeing all the students who are graduating this June, at grad. It’s always a very exhilarating event. Speaking about events, on Sat. Sept. 23, 2017 between 1 & 4 pm. Ridgewood is celebrating their 25th anniversary. Can you believe it, a quarter century since their doors first opened? Several volunteers and current staff members are working really hard on this event. So please spread the word about this drop in event. All previous staff and students (both past and present) are invited. It will be an opportunity for some to see the many changes that have taken place at Ridgewood and time to renew acquaintances. I’m told there might even be cake, ice cream and some lemonade. So please mark your calendar NOW and plan attend, especially if you were a former student, or staff member. Also, if you know someone who attended Ridgewood and has moved away from our community, please reach out to them and extend this invitation. We’d love to see as many folks as possible.
In closing I would like to wish all the students and staff a very safe and cheerful summer. For all students who are returning to Ridgewood in the fall, I’ll see you in September.
